An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Demand release of Chris Smalls & investigate his reported mistreatment by Israel

9 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!

I demand that the Israeli government release humanitarian activist Chris Smalls immediately, and I ask that you work toward his release. Mr. Smalls was illegally kidnapped from International waters by Israel—all while on a mission with the Freedom Flotilla to provide aid to starving humans in Gaza. Reports are that he has been singled out and beaten while in Israeli custody. His bodily safety is threatened. He is an American citizen, and it is your duty to speak up on his behalf and ensure his safe return home. Furthermore, I demand that you do more to provide assistance to the people of Gaza. Given that the US Congress continues to supply the bombs and funding that have been integral to generating this crisis, it is the bare minimum that you can do. US civilians like Mr. Smalls, Jacob Berger, Braedon James Peluso and others put themselves on the line to fix the mess you helped create. Be brave like them and do something concrete. Words are not enough.
