President Trump is currently executing a hostile takeover of the federal government while Congress and the judicial system stand by. The funds that he has ordered frozen were lawfully allocated by Congress for the good of the country and he has no legal right to supersede what Congress has set in place. These funding freezes impact millions of Americans and will have swift, devastating, and lasting consequences for many in our country. Congress must stand up and say that no president, no matter who they are, is allowed to amass power that does not belong to the executive branch. With these illegal orders, along with his attempt to overthrow a constitutional amendment via an executive order, he should already be facing articles of impeachment. The cowardice of this Congress will not be forgotten. Stand up and do what is right. Protect the American people, the constitution, and the checks and balances of government that our country is based on. You must act.
