Ban SEGM-Affiliated Speakers From Medical Conferences

The Pediatric Academic Societies must adopt a policy barring speakers affiliated with SEGM, an organization designated as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center, from future conferences. The April 26th panel at your Boston convention was a disgrace to evidence-based medicine.
Nearly 90,000 letters demanded you cancel that panel. You ignored them. What happened instead? Doctors waving trans flags in protest outside the room. A neuroscientist standing up to say medical decisions belong between providers and families, not hate groups. Sparse attendance. Multiple disruptions. The medical professionals at your own conference rejected what you were platforming.
You can't claim to uphold scientific standards while giving a microphone to SEGM-affiliated speakers like Riittakerttu Kaltiala, Anna Hutchinson, Steven Montante, and Moti Gorin. This wasn't a debate. It was political theater masquerading as medicine, and your attendees saw right through it.
Medical conferences exist to advance patient care, not to legitimize groups that work to deny trans people healthcare. Establish clear criteria that exclude hate group affiliates from your speaker roster. Your credibility as a scientific organization depends on it.
