I am writing to urge you to stand unequivocally with Ukraine—both through strong public advocacy and legislative action. As Ukraine continues its fight for sovereignty and democracy, it is critical that the United States remains steadfast in its support.
I am deeply disturbed by the horrific lies Donald Trump has spread about Ukraine, as well as the disrespectful and reckless rhetoric from J.D. Vance toward our European allies. These actions do not reflect American leadership—they embolden authoritarianism, undermine global security, and betray our commitments to democratic nations.
Ukraine must be included in any peace talks. Any attempt to negotiate without Ukraine’s direct involvement is not diplomacy—it is appeasement. History has shown that ignoring the voices of those on the frontlines of conflict only leads to further aggression and instability.
The U.S. must continue to provide Ukraine with:
• Robust military and humanitarian aid to ensure its survival against Russian aggression.
• A clear pathway to NATO and EU integration to secure its long-term safety and stability.
• A firm stance against misinformation that seeks to distort the reality of Ukraine’s struggle for freedom.
Congress has a moral and strategic obligation to reject isolationism and ensure that America remains a reliable ally to Ukraine and Europe. Anything less would be a catastrophic failure of leadership with consequences far beyond this conflict.
I urge you to publicly denounce Trump’s falsehoods, push back against those undermining our allies, and pass legislation that reaffirms America’s unwavering support for Ukraine.
