An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Protect Community Integration Rights

361 so far! Help us get to 500 signers!

Following the recent Texas v. Kennedy ruling, I urge you to introduce legislation explicitly protecting the rights of Americans with disabilities to live and receive services in the most integrated setting appropriate to their needs. Washington must preserve and enforce the community integration protections established under Section 504, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and Olmstead v. L.C. People with disabilities deserve the right to live in their communities, not face unnecessary institutionalization.
