Addressing Water Inequality and Land Rights in the West Bank

The ongoing control and allocation of water resources in the West Bank by Israel has resulted in unequal access for Palestinians, leading to severe water shortages and inability to meet basic needs. The World Health Organization reports that Palestinians have access to only 73 liters of water per capita per day, significantly below the recommended minimum. This disparity is further exacerbating the economic strain on Palestinian communities, particularly in the agricultural sector, which has lost thousands of jobs due to water scarcity. Additionally, the confiscation of Palestinian land for the expansion of settlements continues unabated. It is crucial to address these issues and advocate for a comprehensive reform to ensure equitable access to resources and respect for land rights. The request is for immediate action to halt these practices and initiate a dialogue for a fair resolution.
