I am deeply concerned by recent calls to repeal the CHIPS and Science Act, particularly following President Trump’s comments dismissing it as a "horrible" policy. This bipartisan law is delivering real results—creating jobs, strengthening American manufacturing, and reducing our reliance on foreign semiconductor supply chains. Repealing it would reverse this progress and put critical investments at risk.
Since its passage, the CHIPS Act has attracted billions in private investment, bringing semiconductor production back to the U.S. States like Arizona, Texas, and Ohio are seeing new facilities, economic growth, and thousands of new jobs. Rolling back this progress would send the wrong message to businesses and weaken our global competitiveness.
America must lead in semiconductor manufacturing, not depend on foreign suppliers. The CHIPS Act is a smart, strategic investment in our future. I urge you to oppose any repeal efforts and keep this law in place to secure our economic strength and national security.
Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to your response.
