Protect universities and students!

I am writing today to express my dismay and anger at the Trump administration’s recent actions to cancel student visas for a number of students, and to cancel research funding, at universities across the US. Universities are the cornerstone of our advanced economy and indeed, our advanced society. The research those schools do are the fuel that keeps our society innovating. Foreign students are critical members of university communities, helping ensure that students and faculty are aware of perspectives outside their own. I implore you to support legislation that protects funding for our universities, and protects those students who are here with legal status from having that status removed without due process.
