An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Absolutely NO Military Parades

18 so far! Help us get to 25 signers!

The White House needs to reconsider its reported plan for a massive military parade on President Trump's birthday. Such an extravagant display would be an unnecessary drain on resources and taxpayer funds, as well as a distasteful celebration of the nation's military might. A democracy should focus on serving its citizens through policies that uplift communities, not glorifying martial power through expensive spectacles. Public funds would be better directed towards crucial domestic priorities like healthcare, education, and infrastructure. This idea goes against American values of restraint and humility. I urge you to cancel any plans for this parade and instead prioritize the real needs of the American people.
