Take Action: Oppose Unconstitutional Military Action Against Iran

I am writing as your constituent to express my deep alarm and unequivocal opposition to President Trump's recent unilateral decision to launch airstrikes against Iran without Congressional approval. This action constitutes a clear violation of the U.S. Constitution and the War Powers Resolution. No President—regardless of party—should be permitted to bypass Congress and commit acts of war without authorization. This precedent endangers not only the balance of power within our government but also the safety and stability of our nation and the world. I urge you to take swift, decisive, and immediate action in response. I support all measures under your authority, including: A formal rebuke or censure of the President’s actions; Invocation of the War Powers Resolution to mandate withdrawal of forces; Defunding any continuation of unauthorized military engagement; and If necessary, supporting impeachment proceedings for this illegal and reckless act. Now is the time for Congress to reassert its constitutional authority over matters of war and peace.
