An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Demand Humane Conditions for Immigrant Detainees or Release Them

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Detainees in immigrant detention centers are being held in over-crowded prisons. starved, served spoiled food, and are experiencing symptoms of malnutrition. There are some reports of physical altercations breaking out over food. We are not 1940s Germany- we should not have concentration camps that are literally starving prisoners. You should be as ashamed of this as I am, and if you're not, you have no business being an elected official representing our state and our nation. Please put a stop to this. Either demand humane conditions for all detainees, or out an end to the wholesale detention of immigrants, many of whom followed proper legal channels to be here.
