Measles. From almost eradicated to over 2,000 cases this year. Screwworm. Under control. Now crossing the border. Ebola. A deadly outbreak found late. Hanta virus. Inadequate monitoring and response. Babies dying of preventable bleeds on the brain because of new lowered uptake of neonatal vitamin K injection. Congress, Donald Trump, Elon Musk, RFK jr and Brooke Rollins OWN these preventable deaths and public health catastrophes. I ask you to hold hearings on how preventable deaths have increased during the Trump administration from cut and misplaced priorities. Please restore the programs at home and abroad that keep us safe. Please hold hearings on each of these issues and draft recommendations. STOP THE CUTS. Stop policies that show contempt for life.
