An open letter to the U.S. Congress

OPPOSE any effort to hold a military parade honoring Donald Trump's birthday

OPPOSE any effort to hold a military parade honoring Donald Trump's birthday. It is my understanding that there has never been a military parade held to honor a U.S. president's birthday. The U.S. Army's 250th birthday happens to coincide with Trump’s 79th birthday on June 14. It should be blatantly clear across the nation that any military parade held on June 14th to honor the U.S. Army anniversary is solely to honor that entity, those who served, and is NOT honoring the president's birthday. The coincidence should not become a catalyst to set a precedent to combine the U.S. Army anniversary celebration traditions with any U.S. president's birthday. Funding for such an endeavor would be better spent providing for the needs of veterans, and improving veterans' programs. OPPOSE any effort to hold a military parade honoring Donald Trump's birthday. Thank you
