An open letter to the U.S. House of Representatives

Demand public release of Gaetz ethics probe findings

49 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

The House Ethics Committee's investigation into allegations against Representative Matt Gaetz, including potential criminal behavior regarding sex with a minor and trafficking a minor across state lines for sex, should be made public and transparent. Included in the report are allegations that Representative Gaetz may have also engaged in illicit drug use, shared inappropriate images on the house floor. He is also accused of converting campaign funds for personal use and accepting bribes, improper gratuity or impermissible gifts. As constituents, we deserve to know the findings and conclusions reached by the committee, especially given Gaetz's nomination for Attorney General. Releasing the report would uphold principles of accountability and demonstrate that no member of Congress is above scrutiny, regardless of their position. I urge you to vote in favor of publicly releasing the Ethics Committee's report on Representative Gaetz. Transparency and openness in government proceedings are crucial for maintaining public trust, particularly when serious allegations of criminal misconduct are involved.
