Oppose Legislation That Imposes Religious Beliefs on Americans

I'm writing to ask you to oppose any legislation that uses government power to promote religious beliefs or practices. Freedom of religion must include freedom from religion.
The First Amendment protects both the free exercise of religion and the establishment clause that keeps government neutral on matters of faith. When government endorses or funds religious activities, it violates the rights of nonreligious Americans and those whose beliefs differ from the majority. This isn't about hostility to religion. It's about ensuring that no one is forced to participate in, fund, or live under laws based on religious doctrines they don't share.
Recent admissions make this threat clear. A former official stated openly that their goal is to impose Christian values on other Americans (https://www.lgbtqnation.com/2026/03/quick-hit-former-official-admits-that-their-goal-is-to-impose-their-christian-values-on-other-americans/). This confirms what many of us have suspected: some lawmakers are actively working to use government power to enforce their religious views on everyone else.
I need you to stand firm against efforts to inject religious doctrine into public schools, government services, and secular law. That means voting no on bills that allow taxpayer funding for religious institutions, mandatory religious displays in public buildings, or exemptions that let religious organizations discriminate while receiving public money. Our democracy works when government remains neutral and protects everyone's conscience equally.
