Make California a Sanctuary for Trans Refugees

Please officially make California a sanctuary state for trans people and their families fleeing culturally genocidal states. Because that's what these laws are with the goal of wiping an entire segment of the population out of public. California should offer a safe place with services and relocation support. This will save lives by preventing homelessness for those who run away to escape, preventing addiction in those who would turn to drugs to escape this dystopian nightmare, and preventing suicides amongst those whose mental health will be harmed. This is the most basic of values ingrained in our state. We must do our part.
