Visit VAs ICE centers to conduct oversight and stand in solidarity w/ Rep McIver

Lawmakers have the legal right to conduct oversight of detention centers. Please join your fellow democrats in visiting your local ice detention centers in the next 10 days. Rep. Delia Ramirez (D-Illinois) says, “We are not going to stand for this intimidation of members of Congress, and coming after members of Congress to intimidate them so they don’t do oversight.” Virginia has the following ice detention centers: Caroline Detention Facility 11093 SW Lewis Memorial Drive, Bowling Green, VA 22427 Abyon Farmville Detention Center 508 Waterworks Road, Farmville, VA 23901 If you want citizen support for this, call for us to join you, either publicly, or by reaching out to allied groups like move on, working families party, indivisible, local dems chapters, etc. This action would go a long way in helping me, personally, see you in a better light.
