DEMAND ANSWERS ABOUT THE IRAN STRIKE. TRUE ANSWERS

According to a new CNN poll, Americans disapprove of the U.S. military strikes against Iran by a margin of 56% to 44%. CNN, confirmed by the NYT, reported that according to early assessments by the Defense Intelligence Agency of the damage caused by the US strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities, the strikes did not destroy the main parts of the Iran’s nuclear program and probably set it back by only a few months. The White House called the DIA, the intelligence arm of the Pentagon, assessment “flat out wrong.” Makes you wonder why we even have intelligence gathering agencies. Senator Rand Paul suggested that the Obama administration had the right approach when it negotiated the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) that limited Iran’s nuclear program. Paul said: “I’m arguing that the intervention, the military intervention, may not have been successful, as people are saying, and also that there may not be a military answer to this, that ultimately the answer to the end of the nuclear program is going to involve diplomacy.” Good for him. Senator Paul is not scared of a potential mean tweet. And remind us why Trump pull the US out of this agreement in the first place? I guess so he could post a whackadoodle, unseemly, childishly immature video rehashing John McCain’s infamous ‘bomb bomb bomb, bomb bomb Iran’ set to Beach Boys’ ‘Barbara Ann.’ Complete with images of planes dropping bombs. And taunting, degrading lyrics. This is an American president. WTF is wrong with him? And it just never stops: “FAKE NEWS CNN, TOGETHER WITH THE FAILING NEW YORK TIMES, HAVE TEAMED UP IN AN ATTEMPT TO DEMEAN ONE OF THE MOST SUCCESSFUL MILITARY STRIKES IN HISTORY. THE NUCLEAR SITES IN IRAN ARE COMPLETELY DESTROYED! BOTH THE TIMES AND CNN ARE GETTING SLAMMED BY THE PUBLIC!” I ask my elected officials…when will we the people, whose name is used for every vile thing we’ve seen the Trump administration do so far, be told the truth about the Iran strike? Will you insist on the truth coming out? Why did Trump bomb Iran now? Why were negotiations seemingly derailed in favor of military action? And will you allow escalation of war in the Middle East based solely on Trump’s gut? Congress needs to reassert itself. Because you are daily becoming more and more obsolete. By your own actions.
