An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Immigrants Following Proper Protocol Should Never Fear Deportation!

5 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!

The situation where a mother and her sons were deported after attending a routine immigration check-in is deeply concerning and a violation of their due process rights. Immigrants following the proper legal channels should be able to attend required appointments without fear of unjust deportation. This undermines trust in the immigration system and discourages compliance. Reasonable fear of deportation despite playing by the rules is unacceptable. We urge a review of policies and practices to ensure immigrants are treated fairly and with respect throughout the legal immigration process they are diligently following.
