TRUMP LIED ABOUT THE EPSTEIN BD LETTER. DOES ANYONE IN THE GOP CARE?

Darn it. Just when we the people were starting to think that maybe, just maybe, the House Oversight Committee was sincere with rooting out justice for victims of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, we read this statement from the chair, James Comer… “The president says he did not sign it. So I take the president [at] his word.” “You asked if I’m going to be trying to figure out whether that, you know, fake or not, probably not. We’re going to be trying to get justice for the victim.” First off. We all know Trump signed the BD letter. He knows it. We know it. But it seems the GOP is intent on believing lies even when the truth smacks them in the face. So there go those expectations for real transparency and clear-eyed justice. Cause if you choose to believe such an easily exposed lie, any hope of true investigation seems a naive wish. With Comer leading the charge, the cover up might work after all. And really, with a convicted sex-offender as president, we have low expectations of most things requiring a moral stance anyway. Maybe following the money will have better results.
