Block the $20M No-Bid Contract for ICE Electric Shock Gloves

203 so far! Help us get to 250 signers!

Block this contract. DHS is moving forward with a $10–20 million no-bid deal to equip ICE agents with electric shock gloves — a device that delivers painful jolts to people in custody or during enforcement encounters. No competitive bidding, no congressional approval, no accountability. That's not how public money should be spent on tools designed to inflict pain on human beings. The ACLU of Kentucky put it plainly: before expanding ICE's arsenal, the federal government should demonstrate that existing use-of-force policies and oversight mechanisms actually work. They haven't. We've already seen a pattern of abuse from an agency that operates with minimal transparency and near-zero consequences. Handing agents another coercive tool — one they'll use more freely precisely because it's labeled "non-lethal" — will make things worse, not safer. Use your oversight authority to demand a full review and defund this contract before it moves forward.
