An open letter to the U.S. Senate

Please Act With Urgency for the People of Iran in their Fight for a Free Iran

I am writing as your constituent to ask that you act with urgency to support the people of Iran in their fight against the Islamic Regime in Iran. September 16 marked the one-year anniversary of Jina Mahsa Amini's murder and with it came continued calls for revolution as well as worldwide demonstrations amplifying these calls for freedom. The voice of the Iranian people is clear: Regime change. Not only for their own freedom, but the safety and freedom of those around the world. As leaders of this free world, it is critical that you act: First, with bipartisan passage of the MAHSA Act HR 589 through Congress, please co-sponsor and support the companion bill that has been introduced in the Senate - S.2626. As an American, I want my voice to be heard in Washington via your support of this measure and ask it be fast-tracked for mark-up. Second, as an American, I am humiliated by Washington's decision to surrender to the Islamic Regime’s hostage politics with a $6bn ransom payment followed by permitting Ebrahim Raisi onto US soil for UNGA. It is time the United States stops caving to, or legitimizing, this terrorist regime. Enforce all sanctions, stop any further deals, and place maximum pressure on the IR. Third, Reza Pahlavi is the recognized and supported leader of this movement (consistently witnessed by credible surveys and protest slogans). This includes support for the National Union for Democracy in Iran (NUFDI), a trusted organization that partners with and supports Reza Pahlavi for a free and democratic Iran. With their guidance, you can create an efficient and productive Maximum Pressure Iran Policy that will aid the people in their desires for freedom. Further, I remind you that NIAC, PAAIA, or their associates are not trusted by the Iranian people and are lobby groups for the regime. These groups work to silence the Iranian people and maintain the regime’s control. Just as important, MEK (NCRI & OIAC) do not represent the Iranian people in any way, garnering less than 1% support in all credible surveys. Finally, we must hold our current administration and any officials involved accountable. The fight for freedom in Iran is a non-partisan issue. I ask that you continue investigations into Robert Malley and all associates including but not limited to NIAC founder Trita Parsi, Acting Iran Envoy Abram Paley, Advisor Brett McGurk and Secretary of State Antony Blinkin regarding all involvement with the regime in Iran. This is a matter of national security and we must act in the interests of not only the people of Iran, but American citizens. As leaders of the free world and upholders of human rights and democracy, the United States must now act to isolate the Islamic Regime and help bring about its end. The Iranian people do not need a savior, they just need us to stop saving their oppressor. The actions included here will help ensure a prosperous, free Iran and safer world for the United States and our allies. Thank you,
