Support Ukraine's Defense & Russian-funded Restoration

I am writing to urge you to prioritize robust financial and military support for Ukraine as it faces its worst humanitarian crisis since the war began. The situation in Kyiv has become catastrophic, with temperatures hitting -19C while Russian forces deliberately target power stations and energy infrastructure, leaving over 500 residential buildings without electricity after Monday night's strikes alone. In 1994, the United States promised to defend Ukraine when it gave up its nuclear weapons under the Budapest Memorandum. We must honor that commitment. Instead of allowing this administration's chaos to distract from our obligations, Congress must act decisively to support Ukraine and push to restore its pre-2014 borders and ensure Russia pays for reconstruction. Engineers working around the clock acknowledge their repairs are temporary fixes with equipment operating at critical parameters. Ukraine cannot survive this assault without sustained American support. I urge you to champion legislation that provides substantial military and humanitarian aid to Ukraine, strengthens our NATO alliances, and holds Russia accountable for reconstruction costs. Do not allow funding and attention to be diverted. Ukraine's survival depends on American leadership now.
