U.S. gun violence data for 2023, as of August 21st: - 12,203 deaths - 24,275 injuries - 458 mass shootings - 29 mass murders - 649 children (age 0-11) shot - 3,626 teenagers (age 12-17) shot - 763 defensive use incidents - 1,043 accidental shootings - 15,378 suicides (est.) The Tennessee Special Legislative session needs to address the terrible toll that the loosening of gun restrictions is taking on the citizens of Tennessee. I urge you to work hard to address the epidemic of gun violence. Thank you.
