Please support H.R. 2510 to prevent gun violence As your constituent and a supporter of Sandy Hook Promise, I urge you to cosponsor H.R. 2510, the Keep Americans Safe Act. Introduced by Rep. Ted Deutch, this bill aims to restrict one of the sources of high lethality gun violence: high-capacity magazines. At the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, the shooter fired 154 shots and murdered 26 children and teachers in just four minutes. This was the result of his use of 30-round high-capacity gun magazines. H.R. 2510 would limit the sale of magazines with a capacity higher than 10 rounds, which would significantly decrease lives lost. I strongly urge you to cosponsor H.R. 2510 and support the bill as it moves forward.
