Oppose Any Additional Funding For Pentagon & Military Ops Against Iran

Today I take pen in hand to write and urge you, in the strongest possible terms, to oppose any additional Pentagon funding for military operations against Iran and to support efforts to restrain unauthorized military action through the War.
No more money for the illegal war. No more money to our military industrial complex.
Americans are hurting. Billions are being wasted that could be used to fund critical domestic programs like Medicaid and food stamps to fund military operations abroad.
This is an unacceptable trade-off that harms constituents who depend on these essential services.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has publicly stated he has been trying to topple the Iranian regime for 47 years, and he’s lured our idiot-in-chief into a useless, destructive war.
The United States should not be drawn into a conflict that serves another nation's decades-long agenda rather than our own national security interests.
Iran needs to change. But they must do it themselves, and we must only focus on diplomacy, human rights and support as they evolve their government to something less venal.
I strongly support the War Powers resolution proposed by Senator Tim Kaine, Representative Thomas Massie, and Representative Ro Khanna that would require congressional authorization before the administration can use military force against Iran again.
The alternative House measure requiring a halt to military operations within 30 days unless Congress authorizes action is equally important. These measures restore the constitutional balance that requires congressional approval for acts of war.
Our military personnel and national treasure must not be used to fight wars on behalf of other countries, particularly when those conflicts lack clear strategic justification and come at the expense of domestic needs.
I urge you to vote against any additional Pentagon funding for Iran operations and to support all War Powers resolutions that restore congressional oversight of military action. Thank you.
