Investigate Trump's Conflicts of Interest in Securities Trading

You need to act on the financial conflicts of interest coming out of the White House. Trump's latest disclosure shows over 1,100 securities transactions in July alone, totaling as much as $270 million, including trades in companies like Northrop Grumman around the same time he signed an executive order affecting defense contractors. He also bought into SpaceX, a company that holds a $200 million Pentagon AI contract and hundreds of millions more in NASA deals. These aren't abstract concerns — this is the sitting president holding a direct financial stake in companies that depend on his decisions.
The White House claims independent advisors manage the portfolio, but every recent president before Trump divested individual stocks or used a blind trust precisely to avoid this problem. Over 21,000 trades in 2025 alone is not passive investing. Congress has oversight authority here, and I expect you to use it — whether that means demanding a full investigation, pushing for mandatory divestiture legislation, or both. This cannot wait.
