Electric shock gloves for ICE? NO WAY. VOTE NO please and rein in this rogue law-breaking agency. ICE as an agency and ICE agents as individuals have shown themselves egregiously unworthy of public trust. ICE policy has been to permit and even URGE the contravention of our the laws and constitutional rights. The ICE heads have instructed agents to deny legal and constitutional rights and to operate with a dangerous quota system. The successive agency heads have failed to implement adequate training, have balked at implementing body camera use even after funds were appropriated; the agency has allowed lying at every level.-- about their targets and about the conduct of the agents...............................................ICE agents have carried out extrajudicial executions, shooting innocent people at point blank range, even dragging them out of vehicles to commit murder. They have caused deaths by releasing people with no resources in to winter storms; they have stolen and sold personal items from those they capture--showing contempt for the rule of law and human decency at every turn. ICE regularly detains and even deports those who have no reason to be detained. ............These are the people you want to have ELECTRIC SHOCK GLOVES???....................... And all their abuse and current use of force continues despite that fact (as you well know) that immigration offences are CIVIL not criminal violations. ICE agents have been recorded using language of hate and prejudice, racial profiling, and flaunting their power to injure and cause pain. Too many currently employed by ICE have rap sheets or records of domestic abuse. This is the agency you want to trust with a novel and exceptionally dangerous new instrument of force and pain???.............................................................................................................................................................A feckless Congressional GOP has funded ICE to the level of BILLIONS even while cutting SNAP, HEAD START, and ACCESS to health insurance subsidies.................................................................And now ICE wants ELECTRIC SHOCK GLOVES? The very concept of these gloves is a dystopian aberration from human decency. America is already too militarised at every level and ICE is UNWORTHY OF THE TRUST of the AMERICAN CONGRESS. WHEN WILL YOU REIN IN THIS MADNESS? DO YOU WANT TO BE REMEMBERED AS ENABLERS OF A REGIME THAT WILL BE COMPARED TO HITLER'S??? At this point the most dangerous invaders across our borders and through the states are pathogens: MEASLES, CYCLOSPORA, SCREW WORM.... and other diseases and parasites that were once held in check by USAID assistance abroad and by border controls and monitoring -- all of which have been slashed by Trump, DOGE and illegal impoundments and firing. Address these instead.
