In a continuing effort to expose you to viewpoints not your own, here’s what we’re reading today.
Pres. Biden AND Pres. Trump are united in saying hands off Medicare and Social Security in the GOP House quest to save America by making its citizens suffer.
And with that, Hell freezes over.
“Representative George Santos (R-NY) is still in Congress, for the moment anyway, and he continues to embarrass the Republicans. After insisting that reports he was a drag queen in Brazil were lies, it turns out that Santos himself apparently posted that information on Wikipedia. The party that has spent months grabbing headlines by attacking drag queens is now represented by one in Congress.
In the same Wikipedia article, he appeared to claim he was an actor on the Disney Channel show Hannah Montana.”
Y’all definitely win on the entertainment factor these days.
And even more evidence that irony isn’t dead, it’s just relocated to the GOP Congress…
“The Administration’s stonewalling must stop,” [Rep. Jim] Jordan tweeted after receiving the letter [from the DOJ quietly explaining why he can’t have the sun moon and stars in his quest for political vengeance] but it is notable that Jordan himself refused to answer a subpoena from the bipartisan House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the U.S. Capitol. [Speaker Kevin] McCarthy ignored one too.”
Remember all that refusal to cooperate? Can’t have your cake and eat it too buddy.
