Oklahoma Medicaid Expansion

This managed care idea of yours is without merit. We the People of Oklahoma voted to have Medicaid for our many indigent neighbors. Managed care means the docs cannot in many cases give appropriate care. You have already tried to rob the TSET trust. What this tells me is you don’t want to do the work and run the political risks that doing the Right thing for your constituents would require. Oklahomans deserve to: Be listened to Be cared for We have passed legislation to provide Medicaid benefits for Oklahomans. Now it’s time for our leaders to sharpen their pencils and create a system that cares for patients and does not overburden doctors. 2004 study, requested by the then Secretary of Health and Human Services, researched by Dr Mike Metzger from UCO showed definitively that State contributions to Medicaid would quickly pay for themselves. You and your GOP Legislators need to figure out how to get this done without robbing other essential services or hanging Oklahomans out to dry. If Covid19 has not taught all of you that health care for the least of us protects the rest of us, you haven’t been paying attention. Do the Right Thing!!!
