The U.S. must stand firmly in support of Ukraine and our NATO allies. Russia's invasion is a direct threat to the rules-based international order and democratic values. Allowing Putin's naked aggression to succeed would shake our allies' confidence in America's commitment to collective security and embolden other authoritarians like China. This illegal war has caused immense suffering, with Russia deliberately targeting civilians and even abducting Ukrainian children in a horrific act of ethnic cleansing. Continuing to provide robust military aid and strong sanctions pressure is both a moral imperative and squarely in America's strategic interests. Upholding our solemn treaty obligations to NATO strengthens our global leadership and credibility. For the sake of Ukraine's freedom, regional stability, and the future of the liberal democratic order, Ukraine must receive the sustained assistance it needs to prevail over Russia's unconscionable war of conquest.
