Israel has done nothing to minimize the loss of life in Gaza, the West Bank, and all other places they have been attacking Palestinians “to eradicate Hamas”. In fact, they have done the exact opposite. According to multiple news outlets like The Guardian and +972 Magazine, an independent news outlet ran by Palestinian and “Israeli” journalists, the IDF has been using AI to maximize the loss of life and suffering. The name of this genocidal program is Habsora, or “The Gospel”, and it facilitates what a former intelligence officer described as a “mass assassination factory”. You fund this.
+972 magazine quotes from interviews with sources from current and former members of Israel’s military intelligence state that “nothing happens by accident…When a 3-year-old girl is killed in a home in Gaza, it’s because someone in the army decided it wasn’t a big deal for her to be killed...These are not random rockets. Everything is intentional. We know exactly how much collateral damage there is in every home.” IDF Spokesperson Daniel Hagari said himself on October 9th, 2023, that their “emphasis is on damage and not on accuracy.” The Guardian goes on to add that “target researchers knew in advance the number of civilians expected to be killed.”
This is objectively a gross violation of human rights, which means your continued funding violates the Leahy law. This law exists for a reason. We all know by now you don’t respect Palestinians’ humanity. But you MUST follow your own laws.
I demand that you:
- Call for an immediate and permanent CEASEFIRE — a "humanitarian pause" guarantees a continuation of the genocide — and a complete end to Israeli occupation of Palestine.
- Condemn Israeli apartheid, war crimes, & lies.
- Express explicit support for Palestinian liberation, from the river to the sea.
- Provide substantial, ongoing monetary aid to all surviving Palestinians to help them rebuild, care for the sick & injured, bury the dead with dignity, and to ensure ALL of their needs are taken care of. It’s your responsibility to ensure that their rights are unable to be restricted now or in the future by any government or group.
- Sanction Israel:
- Withdraw all U.S. troops and assets sent to assist Israel.
- Permanently end all monetary and military aid given to Israel, whether it is directly or indirectly provided.
- Reject any legislation or ideology that directly or indirectly allows for targeting of Palestinians both in the U.S. and abroad.
- Repeal all federal anti-BDS laws for businesses & individuals and pass legislation that voids any & all state-level anti-BDS laws.
- Stop the militarization of our police force by ending the cross-training done with the IDF, and all other ways this is accomplished.
You’ve already put your political career at risk due to your complicity in genocide, but you can still take action to prove your humanity.
