An open letter to the President & U.S. Congress

Reject flawed funding formula perpetuating inequality; allocate equitably

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

Redlining Is Wrong! The proposed formula is fundamentally flawed and an egregious injustice. It blatantly disadvantages communities already grappling with systemic barriers and economic hardship. Disgracefully, it ties vital funding to demographic factors completely divorced from actual need, echoing the abhorrent discriminatory practices of redlining. We must condemn this misguided plan in the strongest terms and reject outdated metrics that perpetuate injustice. Funds must be allocated equitably based on current socioeconomic realities to uplift underserved communities, not further entrench inequality. An equitable society provides true opportunity for all, regardless of demographics - this proposal flagrantly violates that ideal. It cannot stand and must be radically overhauled to serve those most in need.
