An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Fired civil servants are committing suicide. Do you care?

25 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

I am disgusted by your actions. You have betrayed the country and the people who have dedicated their lives to serving it. Federal workers are not lazy mooches—they are public servants, just like you. But instead of treating them with respect, you fired them without cause, showed zero remorse, and then insulted them publicly. Now, there are reports of suicides. People have lost their livelihoods for doing their jobs, and on top of that, they’ve been mocked by politicians, the media, and even the President. This isn’t leadership. It’s cruelty. Is this who you are? Someone who destroys people’s lives and then rubs salt in the wound? YOU budgeted these departments, yet you turn your back on the very people you funded and supported. The American people didn’t vote for this, and you clearly don’t have the courage to face them and explain yourself. This has gone too far. I hope you have difficulty sleeping because the people you abandoned certainly do.
