EDUCATION RESULTS IN THINKING

Greetings. I am a voting constituent in rural west Texas. Don’t y’all ever get tired of embarrassing the great state of Texas? In addition to attempts to mandate what our kids can’t read, mandate what women can and can’t do with their bodies, mandate ways to stifle voting, mandates to make sure Covid kills more of your constituents, now our Lt. Gov. In his infinite lack of shame thinks tenure should be done away with in our universities. Why would anyone in their right mind want to move to Texas? Or send their kids to be educated here? Although they still do. Which is good. Because I expect most who move here will be of the demographic that will eventually turn Texas blue. You should look at the world outside your own echo chamber. It’s trending progressive. It’s trending accepting. It’s trending inclusive. It’s trending multi-cultural. We value education. And in your limited world view, education seems to be considered a danger. A clear-eyed accounting of our history does not constitute corrupting of our children. You should keep your snowflake objections where they belong. In the 19th century. You are not the way of the future. You are the opposite.
