An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Musk's Anti-Trans Agenda Is Personal Vendetta, Not Policy

147 so far! Help us get to 250 signers!

The anti-trans legislation sweeping this country isn't organic — it's being driven by a handful of powerful, motivated actors, and you should be calling that out publicly. Elon Musk, the world's richest man, just confirmed on his own platform that his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter, his entry into politics, and his crusade against transgender people were all triggered by his daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson's transition. His own word: "True." This is not a grassroots movement. Musk used Twitter to remove protections against deadnaming and misgendering, amplified an SPLC-designated hate group, and personally overruled his content moderation team to push anti-trans content to over 100 million people on the first day of Pride Month. He has publicly stated he wants to criminalize gender-affirming care. One billionaire's unresolved feelings about his own child are being laundered into policy that harms real families across this country. Vivian Wilson herself said her father "wasn't there" for most of her childhood and that when he was, she was "relentlessly harassed for her femininity and queerness." The people pushing this agenda don't represent a majority — they represent money and grievance. Stand up and say so.
