At what point does failure to act become complicity in treason?

I am writing to express my deep concern over former President Donald Trump’s increasingly authoritarian rhetoric. Today, he declared, “Long live the king.” To make matters worse, the official White House instagram page is now displaying an image of him as a monarch. This is unacceptable.
The United States is a democracy, not a monarchy. The very foundation of our nation was built on rejecting kingship, yet Trump is openly embracing it. Has he lost his mind? And more importantly, why are our elected officials not stopping him? His words and actions are a direct threat to our constitutional system, and silence in the face of this is complicity.
By looking the other way as Trump undermines the Constitution, Republicans are not just enabling his authoritarian rhetoric—they are complicit in an attack on our democratic institutions. Willfully ignoring unconstitutional actions is not mere political strategy; it is a betrayal of the oath to defend the United States against all threats, foreign and domestic. At what point does this failure to act become complicity in treason against the very principles upon which our nation was founded?
I urge you to take a stand against this dangerous rhetoric and reassure your constituents that our democracy remains strong. Our leaders must uphold the Constitution and ensure that no individual—no matter how powerful—undermines the principles of our Republic.
Please let me know what actions you are taking to address this issue. I look forward to your response.
