Act NOW: Restore Arlington’s Erased Veteran Tributes!

2 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

I am deeply disturbed by recent reports that Arlington National Cemetery has removed web pages honoring Black, Hispanic, and women veterans, as well as certain Medal of Honor recipients. This action, stemming from former President Trump's executive order eliminating diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives from federal institutions, disrespects the legacy of veterans who have made extraordinary sacrifices, broken barriers, and significantly contributed to our nation's military history and cultural heritage. Among those affected include: • Black Veterans, such as the Tuskegee Airmen, who bravely served in World War II despite facing systemic racism and discrimination. • Hispanic Veterans, including heroes whose service dates back to the Civil War and continues through contemporary conflicts, reflecting the significant contributions Hispanic Americans have made to our nation. • Women Veterans, whose sacrifices and achievements across numerous conflicts have been essential, groundbreaking, and often overlooked historically. • Medal of Honor recipients, whose bravery and selflessness represent the highest ideals of military service and deserve permanent recognition. This troubling decision stems from former President Trump's executive order aimed at eliminating DEI initiatives from federal institutions. Such actions disrespect these heroes and undermine principles of honor and inclusivity. As your constituent, I urge immediate action to restore the recognition and respect these veterans deserve. Silence or inaction on this issue implies consent to this unjust policy. Should I interpret your lack of response as approval of this erasure? Please inform me in writing of your position on this matter and the specific steps you intend to take to promptly rectify this injustice. Thank you for your immediate attention to this critical issue. I look forward to your response.
