Defund ICE After 11 Fatal Shootings Under Trump

81 so far! Help us get to 100 signers!

Defund ICE. Eleven people have been killed by ICE agents since Trump returned to office, and the agency has demonstrated it cannot be trusted with the resources or authority it currently holds. Two fatal shootings in less than a week — Joan Sebastián Guerrero, a 26-year-old father, killed in Biddeford, Maine, and Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, a 52-year-old small-business owner and father of three, killed during a traffic stop in Houston — make clear this is a pattern, not an anomaly. Eyewitnesses contradicted DHS's account of the Salgado Araujo shooting. The agent who killed Guerrero had been with ICE for only a few months. This is what happens when you rapidly expand a militarized agency with minimal oversight and no accountability. A temporary pause on vehicle stops is not a solution. Cutting ICE's funding is. Vote to defund this agency before more families are destroyed.
