An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Protect all of our civil rights at the airport

5 so far! Help us get to 10 signers!

Is President Trump threatening to send ICE to airports as a form of racial profiling and intimidation of people of color who are traveling? If so, isn’t there anything you can do to ensure that everybody’s basic civil rights are protected? Freedom to cross State lines is a core constitutional right and it is unfathomable that the President of the United States is threatening to interfere with safe transportation in an attempt to bully Congress. As the representatives of “vacationland“ it is incumbent on you to create a bipartisan effort to address these threats directly and fearlessly and reject any effort to further segregate our public life. Do not capitulate to his funding demands and do not capitulate to this racist dog whistle.
