An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Protect LGBTQ youth mental health resources and hotlines

66 so far! Help us get to 100 signers!

The Trump administration's proposed budget cuts threaten vital LGBTQ suicide prevention services. This would eliminate funding for a hotline offering critical support to vulnerable youth facing family rejection, bullying, and societal stigma. Mental health resources save lives, and defunding this hotline puts LGBTQ youth at increased risk. We cannot allow these damaging cuts that endanger the wellbeing of our communities. I urge maintaining full funding for LGBTQ suicide prevention to protect those struggling with depression, isolation and suicidal ideation. Every young person deserves access to potentially life-saving resources and support.
