Preserve Medicaid

It is clear, but not always acknowledged, that the budget many Republicans would like to pass is going to result in massive cuts to Medicaid, and therefore, massive reduction—population-wise—in access to healthcare. This is not a winning proposition. I think you probably know this, but adding a “work requirement” isn’t a fix, as (I hope this isn’t a surprise) many Medicaid-assisted citizens receive Medicaid assistance specifically because they are unable to be gainfully employed. In closure, I will reiterate: this is not a winning proposition.
