An open letter to the Vice President

VP - American Voters have the Cards. You're playing risky games.

Mr. Vice President, it’s beneath the dignity of your office to sit in the Oval Office and bully an ally for the benefit of Russian media. You stand there, lecturing, like you have a position of strength—while your administration is purging trained, experienced troops from our military in the middle of a recruitment crisis. You should be thanking the American voters and taxpayers, not playing political theater at the expense of our allies and our national security. I’ve watched this before. We all have. You bring people in, you parade them around, you put on a show for the cameras—like some bad reality TV—and you think it makes you look strong. Vice President, don’t you agree that we’ve had problems bringing people into our military? Do you think it is respectful to fire active-duty servicemembers—people who have sworn an oath to defend this nation—just because they don’t fit into your ideological vision? And then, to sit there in the Oval Office, the most powerful room in the world, and attack Ukraine—a nation fighting for its survival, a nation with a stronger democracy than what you're attempting to impose on the American people—is beyond disgraceful. Right now, Americans are protesting in the streets, desperately trying to prevent the destruction of our country, while you sit there, pretending to have the upper hand. Don’t you dare tell Americans how to feel. You don’t know how we feel. You don’t care how we feel. You’re not here to solve problems—you’re here to impose your will. But don’t mistake your ability to wield power for actual control. You are not in control. You don’t have the cards right now. With us—American voters—you start having cards. But instead, you’re gambling. You’re gambling with the lives of millions of Americans. You’re gambling with Civil War. You’re gambling with World War III. And you’re doing it while showing nothing but contempt for the very c ountry that put you in office. You were barely given enough votes to be here, and yet you act as if you have some kind of overwhelming mandate. Have you even said thank you once this entire term? Thank you to the voters who—by whatever means—put you in this position? Thank you to the taxpayers funding your safety, your motorcades, your ski trip? Have you even pretended to acknowledge the people whose lives you’re upending with your reckless policies? Because let me tell you, Mr. Vice President, your country is in big trouble. You are not winning. You’re not winning this. You have a damn good chance of impeachment, OK? Because of us. We gave you power—barely. And what did you do? You surrounded yourself with Heritage Foundation extremists and online propagandists, convinced you could reshape America in your image. If you didn’t have billionaires and foreign dictators propping you up, this culture war would have been over in 2 weeks. You need to be more thankful. Because without American voters—without real, loyal Americans—you don’t have any cards left to play.
