Stop Insider Trading; Support the PREDICT Act

Support the PREDICT Act (Preventing Real-time Exploitation and Deceptive Insider Congressional Trading Act) I am a voting constituent writing to express my strong support for the bipartisan PREDICT Act, introduced by Representatives Adrian Smith and Nikki Budzinski. Public service should be a commitment to the common good, not a pathway to personal profit. The practice of senior government officials—including Members of Congress, the President, and the Vice President—trading on the outcomes of policy decisions and government actions through prediction markets creates clear conflicts of interest and undermines public trust. By prohibiting these officials and their immediate families from such trading and establishing firm penalties for violations, this legislation ensures that those with access to sensitive, non-public information cannot exploit it for financial gain.
