First it was the undocumented. Now it is the Muslims. When will you stop?

I am writing with deep worry and concern over Rep. Andy Ogels’ public social media post stating that Muslims do not belong in American society and that pluralism is a lie. The United States of America is a melting pot. Every single person seeking freedom and justice is welcome here. We have an entire statue in NY Harbor proclaiming it. The idea that a racist congressman can speak against an entire religion is unfathomable and unacceptable. WE THE PEOPLE overwhelmingly embrace our friends and neighbors from all walks of life. WE THE PEOPLE do not approve of attempts to categorize, marginalize, or reject ANY of them. The world is watching as you sit by and allow the mass imprisonment and deportation of undocumented immigrants as we speak, and we already have congressmen pushing forward for the imprisonment and removal of an entirely different but equally vulnerable population. Who are we anymore? Stand up against your colleague. Stand up against Trump and all of whom support unlawful and unconstitutional actions against resident within our borders.
