An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Rein in DOGE overreach, uphold congressional oversight

1 so far! Help us get to 5 signers!

The president's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) initiative has raised concerns about potential overreach and lack of oversight. I urge you to take action to rein in DOGE activities and ensure they operate strictly within the bounds of congressional authorization. Recent reports indicate DOGE may have inadvertently exposed sensitive government facilities, underscoring the need for proper checks and balances. Any executive actions related to government property, personnel, or operations must receive explicit approval from Congress to maintain accountability and transparency. Unchecked executive authority in this domain poses risks to national security and democratic principles. I respectfully request that you take measures to curtail DOGE activities lacking express congressional approval and reaffirm Congress's role in overseeing the executive branch.
