Block the Numerous Corrupt Buyouts of Offshore Wind Projects by Trump

Today I take pen in hand to write and urge you to block the buyouts and cancellation of offshore wind projects by the Trump Interior Department. To be clear, this is payola to the dirty energy companies for political support, bypassing lobbying, work that has already been done in costly environmental review, promotes job loss, and ultimately makes the country reliant on dirty snd more costly energy for both consumers AND business. This comes at a time when energy usage for electrification and data centers, not to mention air conditioning for homes and businesses is also growing - owing to climate change. The wars over fossil fuels can also be avoided with energy independence built on clean energy that we can have in abundance. So it’s weakening our national security as well. It’s also an illegal use of authority: As a lawsuit by one the affected states wrote: “No statute authorizes Federal Defendants to use a sham settlement agreement to unlawfully cancel an offshore wind lease and redirect the money paid for the lease to a separate, unauthorized use favored by the President.” Corporations control so much, they’ll just raise prices for coal and natural gas, but they can no longer hide their stupidity in not choosing clean energy over fossil fuels. We already know what these cancelations mean fir the environment, and it’s not good. I urge you to find means both legislative and with outside legal allies to block these bribes which are being done with my tax dollars. We need clean energy, not further disruption of progress by a corrupt administration and the fossil fuel industry. Block these cancellations. Thank you.
