Petition the POTUS & Congress for the Rights of the Palestinian People

We, the undersigned, call upon the Biden Administration and Congress to take immediate and decisive action to uphold the rights and dignity of the Palestinian people. The ongoing genocide, ethnic cleansing, apartheid and occupation have resulted in untold suffering and a violation of basic human rights for millions. It is imperative that the following demands be addressed with urgency and commitment: 1. Immediate Permanent Ceasefire ▪️We demand an immediate and permanent ceasefire. The continuous cycle of violence only serves to deepen the wounds and perpetuate the suffering of Palestinian people. A ceasefire is essential to halt the loss of lives, prevent further destruction, and create a conducive environment for meaningful dialogue and peace-building efforts. 2. End of Israeli Occupation ▪️We call for an end to the Israeli occupation of Palestine. The occupation has led to severe restrictions on the movement, freedom, and rights of Palestinians, including access to essential services such as healthcare, education, and employment. Ending the occupation is crucial to restoring justice and creating the foundation for a lasting and just peace. 3. Protection of Human Rights ▪️We urge the protection and promotion of the human rights of all Palestinians. This includes the right to self-determination, freedom from discrimination, and the ability to live in peace and security. All forms of collective punishment, house demolitions, and arbitrary detentions must cease immediately. 4. Access to Humanitarian Aid ▪️We demand unrestricted access to humanitarian aid for all Palestinians in need. The blockade and restrictions on the Gaza Strip, as well as other affected areas, must be lifted to ensure that essential supplies such as food, water, medicine, and other humanitarian assistance can reach those in dire need. 5. Accountability and Justice ▪️We call for accountability for all violations of international law and human rights abuses. This includes independent investigations and holding those responsible accountable for their actions. Justice is a critical component of reconciliation and lasting peace. 6. International Solidarity and Support ▪️We call upon the international community to stand in solidarity with the Palestinian people and support their legitimate aspirations for freedom, dignity, and independence. This includes diplomatic, economic, and political support for efforts aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace. CONCLUSION - The time for action is now. The ongoing conflict and occupation are not only a moral and humanitarian crisis but also a threat to regional and global stability. We urge all concerned parties to heed these demands and work towards a future where peace, justice, and human rights are upheld for all.
