After fourteen failed attempts, Kevin McCarthy has been elected Speaker of the House. I am writing to ask that the true work of Congress not be derailed by MAGA delusions and political theater. Criminals need to be held accountable, the weakest in our society need protection, and we ALL need to join together to combat the real problems facing our country: runaway climate change, the global rise of totalitarianism, and the lingering impacts of Covid-19. Please pledge to fight for integrity, honor, and a positive future for our planet.
