An open letter to the U.S. Congress

Support the Emergency Price Stabilization Act of 2022 (H.R.8658)

44 so far! Help us get to 50 signers!

It’s time that Congress gets to the business of serving the American people. Food costs have skyrocketed 13% in the past year, with no signs of relief. The conversation about inflation that dominated certain candidates’ talking points leading up to the 2022 midterm elections has died down post-election, while costs (and corporate profits) continue to rise. This is all done on the backs of average working Americans. Thankfully, Rep. Jamal Bowman sponsored the Emergency Price Stabilization Act of 2022. The purpose of this act is the establishment of a task force that will explore and monitor the costs of the basic necessities of the American people, including food, energy, housing, transportation, and healthcare. That task force will then focus on curbing the outrageous increases we have seen over the last few years. Please take a stand in service of the interests of your constituents. Support Rep. Bowman and help pass H.R.8658. Thank you for your time and attention.
